Shareport acts strange
« on: May 03, 2010, 10:10:48 AM »

Hello,

Shareport (v1.15) acts really weird on my Windows 7-computer. The first time I start SharePort up he says that no USB-devices were/can be found. Then I manually restart (close and then start it up again) SharePort and then he can find the USB-device I am looking for, however, after a connection with the USB-device has been made, he automatically divides the connection after the first action I want to perform to the USB-device (such as putting some files on the device). Then, for the second time, I manually restart SharePort and then a good connection can be made which actually persists for as long as I want. That should have already been done by the first time I started SharePort, don't you think?

Does anybody know the solution to my problem?  :)

Hi,

With our DIR-655 and specific firmware versions, we have been instructed to only use specific versions of the shareport client on LAN pc's....

Could that be the case for you as well ?  Check your router's support pages and see if they have released a newer version of the shareport client....
