Updating Firmware

The firmware currently installed is from October and the new one I downloaded is the newest one from February. Using the emulator for the router (DIR-601), I read the instructions on how to update the firmware by selecting the file I downloaded and clicking the UPLOAD button, upon clicking the UPLOAD button I get a window pop-up saying it can't be done in this emulator, I need to update ASAP! Please help!!!

Stop using the emulator and actually login to your router and update the firmware.

The emulator is just to show you how the interface of the router looks.
