Fwd a Voicemail?

If a voicemail is left on the wrong person's phone - is there any way to fwd the voicemail to another user on the system?

It is not possible to forward voicemail to another extension. The only way is to allow the other user to access their voicemail or provide them the information using the "old fashioned way"-notepad.

We get around this problem by having their voicemail sent to their email as well.  This is great because they can then forward to anybody that needs it.  Even some of our customers, they were blown away when we said here is the message from so and so and they actually had the voicemail wav file...

Yes, definitely.  A very basic function of any voicemail system.

Question for D-Link: Is this an inherent ResponsePoint limitation, or are there RP SP2 APIs that could be used to implement it within the system?

I will not call the lack of this feature a Microsoft Response Point limitation, but rather a feature that was and has not been added to the system just like many other features that customers would like to see included on the system. We do appreciate the suggestion to have the feature considered in any future RP upgrades.

I recently had to figure out a way as a voicemail came in as our e-mail server was in the middle of a reboot.

Backup the Unit, if you look in the Contacts\Ext\Msgs folder, there are bunch of cabs.  They should be able to be opened by any Archive program (I use 7-zip) and you can pull the WAV file, and therefore, forward the message.

It's not pretty, but under the circumstances, was the best I had available.

Still doesn't substitute the "press 8 to forward"...
