mixing routers? or?
« on: May 20, 2010, 02:36:09 PM »

We have a Dlink 615, with one wired connection to main house box and one wireless connection to secondary box. New roomate wants to connect also. He has a wbr2310.
Can anyone offer me advice on how to have all three machine up and running. We are able to keep one hard wired, but would like to have 2 with separate protected wireless accounts?
Afraid I am a bit of a beginner, so thanks for any help offered, but please-a step by step in moderately laymans language would be highly appreciated.
Michael.

What's the logic behind 2 seperate accounts? Nothing is really seperate when it's sharing your main internet connection from the cable or telephone company. Adding more than one router is just making your connection more unstable.

You can restrict access by logging into the router and deciding what you want filtered out on your line. ex:****
