Hi Folks,

So my 615 - Rev C - wireless is going up and down like a yoyo.  Any suggestions?

So far:

- Upgraded firmware to 3.12NA
- Set protected to OFF
- Wireless on
- Gave it a name
- Mixed N, G and B
- Hard locked to CH 4 (2.4270)
- Auto 20/40
- WPA-Personal - with / TKIP  and Pre-shared key for the office staff.

Got the antennas setup like in the drawing - its in the stand vertical with the
top antenna up and the bottom one out on the left side horzinal to the steel
drawers on top of the cubical farm in the main open office.

Using Ubuntu's Wavemon the Signal Level goes from -89 down to -3 and the
noise level hovers around -40 and lastly N/S sweeps from -1 to -60 always.

Anybody else seen this?

Do you really need a simultaneous b/g/n config? Can you try g only or n/g only? Also, you may want to see if there are other APs operating on that frequency (using netstumbler,etc.) or try other channels. For me, I run g only on Ch. 8 using WPA2/AES. Remember that even if you have n-clients, the router will drop down to g (or b) speeds when one of the legacy clients are transmitting since this is a single band router. Also, to hit n speeds, you must use WPA2/AES encryption, else it drops to g speeds.
