First let me say I am NOT extremely knowledgeable about computer routers.  I plug it in and connect the computer to it and expect it to work.   And it has been doing that without any problems until I bought an iPhone and brought it into the house.   I thought it was a fluke,  but the day I brought the phone in,  my computer started intermittently ??? losing it's connection.  If I turn the phone off,  the connection comes back on.   But what seems really odd to me is that if I right click on the wireless network icon it says I am connected and the strength of the signal is excellent.   But then it says no internet access....   So....   anyone have any idea of why this would happen?   Someone on the iPhone support list said I should update my router's software....  will this help and if so how do I do that.

 ???

" I plug it in and connect the computer to it and expect it to work."

Well thats your first habbit your going to have to break. Technology is only a tool, and only works as well as you let it.  With that said, sounds like the signal from the phone is interfering with your wireless. The question is, is it the wifi or the cellular connection. First, disable the wifi (Settings > Wifi > Off) and see if you can make calls and go online through cell without any issues with your router's wifi. If its just the Iphones wifi, then try:

Open browser and type 192.168.0.1 in address bar.

User: Admin
Password: <blank>    <--- Unless you set a password during set up.

Click on Setup > Wireless Settings > Manual Wireless Connection Setup > Uncheck "Enable Auto Channel Scan". Try changing it to 11. Save settings.

See if that works. If not, wasn't there a post on this in the 4500 forum? A post with a solution. Can't remember what it was.

Try single mode G or mixed G and N?
What security mode are you using? WEP, WPA or WPA2? Preferred is WPA-Personal. WPA2/Auto TPIK and AES.

nsure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual? You can find these under Status/Device Info/Wan section.
Turn off ALL QoS (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP.

Also let us know if someone should review your router settings with you using teamviewer.com.
