The word "Console" is a Big Business name for "Node".

Has anyone tried using port triggering versus port forwarding? Reason I ask is that for homes with multiple Xboxes or PS3s, this setup would not work due to port forwarding working for a single IP address/device. For some reason, when I play MW2, I'll do lights-out when I'm not the host, when I am the host, it's lag-city. I'd expect that the RoadRunner Turbo package (25 down/2 up) would be enough to run two Xboxes in a party.

Edit: Both consoles are hard-wired using Cat 6.

I might try this. I haven't. At this time, port forward is turned off for both of my xboxes and only GameFuel is enabled for each box. Gaming is good however I see lag however that seems to be coming from XBL.

Yea some people may think just cause they are experiencing a bit of lag they go ahead and blame the router -_-. 1 shot 1 kill is not legit! That type of internet speed should be enough for two Xbox in the house. What I would do is put all the Xbox with GameFuel and range the priority from 1-3 depending on how much Xbox console you have. I would also go into firewall and change udp and tcp to Endpoint Independent and try to see if you get better performance.

Just one thing to think about.
This router shares the bandwidth between all the port's.
Having a very large data package is one way to cut down on lag with multiple machines going at the same time.

Another way of solving the lag problem is buying a router/bridge that does not share the bandwidth between all the ports.
Instead, purchase a router that dedicates your bandwidth package to each single port.

Instead of 1 MB download/512 kB upload been shared between all four ports like this router does, you can buy one that dedicates this bandwidth speed to all four ports.
