Hello everyone, Ive been trolling around trying to find an answer to my question but i cant seem to figure it out.
So i have my ps3 hardwired into my router. When i set up my internet connection it says my my router doesnt support fragmentation or something to that effect. Now i cant connect to BF at all, but my squad leader can and we have the same internet connection. I'm stationed in South Korea. I'll be honest i dont really know anything about this stuff. I dont want to mess up the settings on my router. Is the setting under gamerfuel about dynamic fragmentation the answer to my problem or am i screwed because im in Korea? my f/w level is the 1.21NA. Thanks ahead of time y'all.

   First I would go ahead and disable Dynamic Fragmentation and see if that seems to solve the problem. How to get there? Easy Advance > GameFuel. After you have disabled it go online and see if that solved the issue and post back feedback here.

after doing what you said and resetting my internet connection on my ps3 it says; UPnP: available, nat type 2, and " the router in use may not support IP fragments and the communication features of some games may be restricted."

But does it restrict you from playing the game? Can you at least play the game? if not than let me find an alternative solution. I would like you to follow this thread so it can help you set up the play station 3 for the router. After you have done that let me know if the problems are fix.

Also, what is your 4500 connected to? The base network? A modem?

after the dynamic frag thing it still wasnt working. Its still not working after your guide but i do have a statixc IP now so its not a complete loss. my router is connected directly into my cable modem. its a korean ISP...

Alright. From this point and on all I could think of is putting your PS3 unit in DMZ mode and find out if the problem still occurs. Navigate to Advance > Firewall than look for DMZ host and put your playstation  units static IP and reboot the router and PS3 unit. If the problem persist chances are it is not the DGL 4500 and its your ISP. Let me know how it wen't thank you.

I would also contact the ISP there if possible and possibly the support team for the game and see if either one has information regarding connectivity with these games for users over seas. I have seen some instances where some localized ISP services do not support gaming connectivity. I would start there first and see if you can get any information. Fiddling with the 4500 probably wont resolve anything if the servicing ISP isn't supportive. Let us know what you find out.
