Dir-655 A1 unresponsive after 1.34 firmware update
« on: June 13, 2010, 12:00:37 AM »

Hi,

I just updated my DIR-655 (A1) with the 1.34 firmware.  The update seemed to go, but afterwards, the router is totally unresponsive.  DHCP doesn't work and the router does not respond to pings.  The router was reset before the update and was accessible as 192.168.0.1.

Only after this happened did I notice the filename is DIR655A4_FW134NAb03.bin.  Is this a firmware for an A4 hardware revision only?

I have tried holding the reset in for 10 seconds, 30 seconds, holding it in while unplugged and then plugging in power - all to no avail.  (I have tried all the obvious things, new cables, different ports, etc.)

When I do plug it in, I can see the green LED for the PC (let's say port 1) flashing, and the Power LED is on, but those are the only LEDs that are on as well.

This just the end of my router - a firmware update did it in?

Thank you
Stefan
