Why version 1.3x firmware no more support 3G USB modem?

I read in some forum that version 1.3x of the firmware has removed the 3G ability.
Anyone knows why Dlink remove the 3G ability?

Few months ago i bought a DIR-655 and the USB HSUPA modem DWM-156 and use them for internet sharing.
The firmware version is 1.21 for this router.
Anyone knows is there any main issues using DIR-655 and DWM-156 together?
