Hoping someone out there can help.
DNS-343 purchased overseas (online) 9 months ago died today. Did a manual shutdown pre-Xmas while I went away, came back this morning and went to start up and... nothing. No lights, no fans, nothing to indicate any sort of life at all.
Have checked the power supply and all is good. Power is being supplied to the unit at the correct voltage and amperage.
On the unit itself however, nothing.
Have removed the 4 x Seagate Barracuda 1Tb drives and tried again - nothing.
No lingering smell of 'magic smoke'. No obvious charring or discolouration of internal parts.
Reset button does nothing.
Local D-Link tech support unable to help - apparently D-Link's policy is it has to be dealt with by the local D-Link tech support in the country of purchase. This means that even if I wanted to get a warranty replacement, I would have to courier it back to the country of purchase...
Any thoughts appreciated.
