Hi, my d-link router dir-855 firmware ver 1.22NA seems like it keeps stopping my internet for like 20 seconds, and it just happens randomly at any time, like if i am in an xbox live party, i'll be the only one getting disconnected from party for like 20 seconds, then it automatically rejoins me in to the party, and also it did that to me in a party while i was surfing the web and the site took like 20 seconds to load up, and no one in my neighborhood is having this problem, so i know it's my router, my old router never did this i had a dgl-4100 this gets so annoying ,it happens every day to me, it also did it with the 1.21 which is what it came with when i bought router a few months ago.

Ok here is an updated log showing that a little while ago i lost my internet connection for like a minute, this only  happens like once a day, and it only lasts a minute here is part of the full log because it wouldnt fit.

Doesn't ring a bell. Seems to me a defect in the router. It should never pause any connection. Request a RMA for the router and have it replaced.

Yes I know of something. I joined this forum just to let you know. We had the same issue here with a Sonicwall router, has about 30 users on it, there would be times of day I could not login to it to manage, also there would be occasional vpn outages to remote locations. I blocked all pcs from any outgoing packets and found one which was sending megabytes of information continuously to ip. 8.12.218.126, and also IP 198.78.206.126 public. There is nothing but a wild goose chase to try to id these ips, but I finally tracked down the 8.12.218.126 subnet to a node, believe it or not, but believe it, 100yards from the Whitehouse in Washington. 

I found your post searching for this ip. We put sygate firewall on the suspect pc to id the application communication on these ports and guess what??? it is yupdater.exe, yes. Yahoo! This application is suspect of sending all info from this specific pc to just one block behind the Whitehouse. Thought you would want to know. Block these ip's, find the machine that has yupdater.exe on it and delete it!

We found it in Documents & Settings > All Users > Application Data > Yahoo > yupdater.exe , but your path might be different.

I'm having this same issue with my 2.4 wireless, the 5.0 stuff seems to be just fine.
I'm wondering if I should RMA it, but after seeing so many other people also have this issue I'm thinking something else might be going on.
