If you can't access your web page log in because the web server is down, is it possible to re-boot the NAS with some commands over the internet, when you are away from home?

My webserver goes down from time to time, preventing remote or local access to the admin page of my NAS. Uggh!!!!!

You might try to resolve why the web page goes down as well.  I've never seen this on a DNS-323 or a DNS-321.  The only issue I'm aware of is things get flaky when you run their BT client.

D-Link says they have seen this problem. It is a bad batch of product and that I should exchange the unit. Frigg!!!!!

Yes, bizarre!!! May be the tech I talked to was being lazy.

Perhaps he identified which exact part of RAM the web server is loaded in to and diagnosed a faulty memory module. In reality, he probably was being lazy or that particular eventuality wasn't covered on his support crib-sheet.
