I am currently setting up the 4500 router and am not sure how the WISH rules come into play when having a XBOX connected via wireless. My main question is if I should have this enabled or not and if I do how I should set it up so my XBOX has priority over other wireless devices connected. I have already set up gamerfuel rules to prioritize my Xbox per the sticky thread and am not sure if that is all that is needed or if using WISH rules in tandem will give a more stable connection. Also, a secondary question how should I input gamerfuel rules to just prioritize computers on the network regardless of what they are doing on the internet; ie. what ports should I enter? just use the ANY option under protocol with their predetermined IP address. Thirdly is it better to manually define a IP address on the device connecting to the network or to use the built in DHCP reservation utility while leaving the device settings to Automatic? It seems like it would accomplish the same thing but not sure if one way is more optimal or not. It would be easier to use the Reservation utility b/c I don't have to go around and mess with everyone on my networks computers and devices and I can just do it remotely from the web GUI. Any feedback would be helpful! Thanks!!

Are you noticing any problems if your watching a movie on the xbox that is connected via WiFi?
What wireless modes are you using? Single mode G or N is best if you can do this. Wired is preferred for xbox over all. I hope others will help answer this as I haven't used WISH before and have watched Netlix on my xbox with out issue however my consoles are wired.

Also, a secondary question how should I input gamerfuel rules to just prioritize computers on the network regardless of what they are doing on the internet; ie. what ports should I enter? just use the ANY option under protocol with their predetermined IP address.
I use global ports and ANY for PCs that are included in Gamefule. Ports 0-65535 covers the bases.

It's best and recommended to reserve IP addresses using the routers web page and let the router handle and manage IP addresses. Yes this makes things easier to manage and leaving devices to auto obtain is easier then trying to go to each PC and manually input addressing. Also if you have the router reserve the addresses, you'll know that each devices has it's own IP address that never changes. Leaving it for not reservation could cause problems should you set up a rule for a device, if the IP address changes, this will break the rule you set up.

Thanks for the answers Furry, I haven't noticed any lag while watching Netflix on my Xbox Wirelessly, prolly wont mess with the WISH settings if I don't have to. Dlink's resources regarding how to implement alot of the settings on the router are a little lacking.

Ok onto another question regarding the Ip reservation list, I noticed when I logged on to the router with my PC today that it Auto assigned me a different IP address regardless of having previously reserved one via the web interface. Now comes the weird part my MAC address for my computer has changed to a different device there is something I am missing here not sure what it is tho any help would be appreciated Thanks!

The IP reservation is bases on the MAC address that you reserve it for on the router. So if the Mac address changes, say you put in a different NIC and turn off the other one that was reserved, you will get a different IP address.

Yeah furry I figured it out, one of the computers I set the reservation for decided to plug directly into the router with a cable, so I just made another one for a wired connection. Also, the WISH settings do work except their is only 4 priority levels I tested out several combo's and found that setting a rule for Voice will give you more priority to a computer or console than other devices on the wireless connection. This was important because if someone was streaming netflix wirelessly they would be given a Video priority which is one higher than the Best Effort level that WISH automatically assigns an Xbox or PC(non multimedia streaming).
