I would really appreciate it if someone could please tell me, why is it that when I try to run this cd it tells me that "Router setup cannot run over a wireless connection"? and it also tells me to "Enable my wired network adapter" and retry installing the router again.

Now, when I connect my pc straight to the modem I have no problem connecting to the internet but running this cd seems to keep telling this same message. I just bought this router today and I have been trying to get it hooked up ever since.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter, thank you for reading.

Did you run the CD while your computer was connected to the modem?

Several wireless router are delivered with the wireless network radio turned off.  Most of the time, the set up CDs will guide you to enable, configure and secure the wireless network before enabling the wireless network broadcast.

Pretty sure you connect the router to the modem and your pc then run the cd, before using any wireless.
