I just had a customer install a preconfigured DIR-615 at a remote location. I go to make some dhcp reservation chanrges remotely and i can log in on port 8080 and view settings but i can't make any changes. all fields are greyed out. help i don't feel like driving 80 miles 1 way to make a 5 minute change.

What HW Rev & FW version?
Assuming you are using the admin login and not user account?

Get them to install teamviewer and get the id and password than you can log in remotely. Simple solution.

same issue E1 and 5.00NA, can log in initially however if router is powered off/on and then remote into it as admin, options are then grayed out.

These routers can have two types of access:  administrator or user.   Which type are you using to remote access into the router?  "User" access does not permit changes.

I was having the very same issue with my DIR-615, hardware E3, firmware v 5.10  -- PROBLEM RESOLVED --

Seems to be a firmware bug - I had both the Admin password and the Personal password set to the same value. Even though I logged in with the Admin user, WAN remote management options were greyed out on nearly all pages. After changing the personal password to something unique the admin functions returned from the WAN. Interestingly enough, LAN management functions were just fine when the passwords were the same.
