Slingbox Problem
« on: April 12, 2008, 02:56:58 AM »

I have a D-Link Xtreme N router and Verizon Fios is my provider. I also have a few Slingboxes (Pro and A/V) and although my streaming is clear, every 10-15 minutes the video freezes for a few seconds. The audio continues fine during this time.  After those few seconds, the video unfreezes and it works fine again, until the cycle repeats 10-15 minutes later. I didn't have this problem with my previous router and the problem exists on many different computers and from many different locations so I'm pretty sure it's the router. I've had the router about 6 weeks and don't think I can return it. I'm hoping there is something I can do to make this work smoothly and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

By default, the Slingbox uses the port 5100 and UDP protocol. Ensure you have forwarded this port. What I would suggest is upgrading the firmware. Can you please list the changes in the Advanced Network from the router's configuration have already been tried?
