I have a Wireless DIR615 and the laptop I set up the router on has no problem connecting to the internet, but my ipod touch and any other people that come over and want to use the wireless can't. It says that they are connected to the network, but they can't get on the internet.

Is there something that I can do, so that others can use my wireless when they come over either on their i pods or laptops?

The page link doesn't show anything.

Basically I am the only one who can get access to the internet. Ipods and other laptops say they are connected to the network but can't get online.

Options?

Sounds like a security issue. Ipods and older laptops have issues with the higher end security since that depends on a chip in the device trying to connect to work, unlike lesser security which uses software to make the password. Where complications come from is if you just use the CD and pick the highest security, or if you use WPS(Pressing the little button and putting in the PIN thing?), it uses that higher security that you need to use the chip. Sorry if it sounds silly to some people, trying to explain it in simple way. Hence why I was asking how your network is configured. Copy and paste this in your browser.

http://192.168.0.1

Then just click on login, there is no password (unless you set one). Then click on wireless settings on the top left, and "Manual Wireless Network Setup" button on the bottom. Try to copy that all into a reply, either manually, or CTR+A CTR+C and CTR+V in the reply. What kind of Ipod do you have? If we can get the ipod to connect, I think the rest should be easy, just need to know how low to set the security.

Thanks for helping. When I type in the 192.yada.yada in the browser, it doesn't show me anything.

But then I used one of my friends lap tops that say they are connected to my router but don't have internet access and I was allowed to get into the DLink page. I am having no issues connecting to the internet, but I can't get to the DLink page and only though another lap top? Why is this?

I looked at settings and I have WPA2 - personal -- do i need to change this for others to log onto the internet? Other devices say connected to the internet, but can't get online still.

Any suggestions what to change settings to? Thanks again for your help.

Sounds like your connected to someone elses wireless for one.  Try this.

1. Click on the start button on the bottom left of your screen.

2. Look for run, start search, or search program and files (Depending on your OS)

3. Type in CMD and press enter on your keyboard.

4. Type in IPCONFIG and press enter.

5. What is listed as the default gateway of your wireless adapter?

If its 192.168.0.1, try this, when online wireless, unplug the power from your Dlink router. Still online? If so, proofs without a doubt your connecting to someone else router. If you go offline when you unplug the router, have a 192.168.0.1 but can't access the gateway, probably either a block on your PC or the router. First thing to check is connect the laptop wired, and still see if you cant connect to the gateway. If you can wired, but not wireless, could be blocking wireless access some how. If you can't either, then I don't know, but its probably something with your PC.
