DFL-210 problems with external FTP
« on: November 08, 2010, 09:30:38 PM »

I have network with DFL which acts as gateway to Internet.
I have problems with external ftps that cannot work in active mode.
I'm trying to connect to ftp, getting promt for login and password.
After that I get error:
The server name or address could not be resolved.

From other network everything is ok.
Rule for FTP:
allow_ftp-passthrough  NAT  lan  lannet  wan  all-nets ftp-passthrough Destination ports: 21

Dvar,

Which code are you running?  Do you have a rule that says "Allow_ftp_AV"?

If so, change the SERVICE on that rule to ftp from FTP_AV.  The newer code on the 210 allows for UTM services and the default FTP rule becomes the above.  If that happens it'll block all external FTP by default until you change that service within that rule.  (Or you can delete it and rewrite it)
