IPSec Tunnel between DFL-210 and DFL-80

Can anyone point me to or explain to me in some detail how to setup a VPN IPSec tunnel between a DFL-210 and a DFL-80, DFL-80 being the main location.

Hi,
Please help am trying to setup a VPN (IPSec) Tunnel between two branches and am yet to get it to work. At Branch A is a DFL-800 with the following: 172.16.0.0/23 network, 192.168.4.5 WAN IP. Branch B is a DFL-210 with the following: 172.16.3.0/24 network, 192.168.4.13 WAN IP. Both WAN IPs are on a switched network provided by our ISP and on the same subnet. From either locations I can reach (ping) the LAN IPs on both firewalls but there is no IPSEC activity on both (checking IPSec Status). I have followed the documentation and cross-checked again and again but no luck. Maybe I do not have the common sense you spoke about. Please what am I doing wrong?

I understand you very good, but unfortunately for each case the solutions can be different.

For general rule the FAQ http://www.dlink.com/support/faq/?prod_id=2783 is valid for all cases, for my case is valid also, but for example steps 12, 13 and 18 in my case are not necessary.

For this reason, you must insist in your problem and search one solution. It's sure sure that your problem have some solution. I can tell you that if you can to do ping from your local network to the remote network and there is no other way to reach the remote network then your tunnel is working, but it's very strange your WAN IPs.

Thanks for your mail. I had to go recheck my configuration and I still cannot get a host at one branch to talk to another host at another branch. Well maybe the IPSEC VPN works partially since I can ping Branch A's DFL-800 LAN interface IP from both Branch B's DFL-210 device and vice versa for Branch B's DFL-210 from Branch A's DFL-800. I also noticed I can ping the LAN IP of the DFL-210 at Branch B from a host in Branch A. But the problem is getting hosts in the different networks to talk to each other. The logs on both DFLs are not too helpful (maybe they are not properly configured). Is there a way I can be sure am on the right path? Please where are the D-Link Gurus?
