wireless connection manager vista - usable at any point in the future?

I had been able to use the wireless connection manager on my vista system for a few weeks after getting my dwa-643 but now it crashes almost all the time at startup. I've read that it is not usable under Vista and was dissapointed to hear that the program that comes packed with my drivers (the ones labeled as vista 32bit) was not compatible with the very OS its made for! Not unprecedented, but still kind of lame... i like this program a lot, prefer it over the regular connection method. Is D-Link ever planning to get this operational?
