WPA2 using DWA-556 Windows XP SP2, validating identity?

Ok so I setup the router to only transmit wireless N and to use WPA2 only. When I try to connect using the windows zero configuration utility it gets stuck validating identity. It says something about windows not finding a certificate.

The weird part is that I was using WPA TKIP with the passphrase and it was working fine. I moved the selection tab to WPA2 only and keep the rest the same and no luck.

Any idea in how to setup WPA2???

I think I fixed a similar problem.  I kept getting an error message about 'not finding a certificate', and when I googled the exact error message I found that MicroSoft has an update for Win Zero Config.:

Applied this update, and now I can see & use WPA2-PSK with no error messages. 

CAUTION:  Microsoft Product - research thoroughly and use at your own risk!   ;D

No way, WZC will work with the D-Link N equipment

You just need to have WPA2 enabled to get 300Mb/s

there is a microsoft KB patch for the validating network identity issue.

You can google it.

had the same problem but i could somewhat connect to the internet i just turned off the iee **** certificate and problem sloved.

This update enhances the Windows XP wireless client software with support for the new Wi-Fi Alliance certification for wireless security. The update also makes it easier to connect to secure public spaces that are equipped with wireless Internet access. These locations are otherwise known as "Wi-Fi hotspots."

There are two other methods for resolving the issue.  Turning off WPS on the router (not reccomended) and disabling the client side IEEE authentication (also not reccomended).
