UPNP refresh hangs at 85% please help

I copied all of my music and movies to my DNS-323 and when I click on refresh on the UPNP Media page it hangs at 85%, sometimes it goes 85, 84, 85, 84 and does this for hours. When I hook it to pc ps3 I notice the files just added are not listed meaning they are not being refreshed. Please help :(

Do you have the latest firmware?

Do you have the UPnP AV media server set to the root? Try refreshing individual folders that contain your media and see if you find one that creates this freeze in refreshing. You may have a corrupt file creating this issue.

I have firmware 1.05. How can I check which file is corrupt? Ive got 40,000 mp3 files with over 200 videos.

Refresh each folder individually or put them in groups and run refresh on them till you can narrow it down.Try half then the other half if one side fails and the other one is good you know those ones are OK and do it again.
