HTTPS Enabled means HTTP not disabled?
« on: January 01, 2011, 08:05:22 AM »

Going into day three of my DIR-655 usage I got wired and wireless networking set up fine and everything works. Now I decided to tweak settings one by one to make sure they do what I expect them to do.
One such change was to enable HTTPS for administration (Tools > Admin > Administration: check Enable HTTPS Server). While I now can log in to the admin tool using HTTPS the HTTP based access works as well. My old routers (Linksys) turned the HTTP access off after enabling HTTPS, which makes sense to me as the point is to force the use of the secured connection and cut off the unsecured option.
Is this a bug or a feature? Is there any way to turn off the HTTP access?

In case it is needed: hardware rev is B1, firmware is 2.00NA
