USB playback problem

Hi!
Video files played from USB-stick or -disk start to "chop" after a while, somewhere in between two seconds or fifteen minutes of playback. I've tried several USB-sticks and -disks, and several video files in various formats. Nothing works... When streaming from Media Player in Win XP (via cable network) the same video files play just fine on my DSM-510.
What's this? I've seen more people having trouble with this but no solution...
