Shareport & TV Stick
« on: December 18, 2010, 11:03:57 AM »

Hi,

I have an interesting problem:

I own the DIR-635 - and am quite happy with it - Shareport works great with my printer or external HD. However I tried connecting my Hauppauge PCTV USB Stick to it - so I don't have to connect it directly to my computer. Unfortunately while it works perfectly when it's connected to my PCs USB it doesn't work connected to the router. It is shown in shareport and I can connect to it but when I go to to my systems Device Manager (win7x32) there's a little icon - saying it's not working properly - Windows says Error Code 10 - Device can't be started.

I'd really appreceate some ideas what I could do  :)

Is there any possibility that it could be a power issue? If you have an externally powered usb hub, I suggest connecting that to the router and then plugging your stick to the powered hub. I know that some of my devices will not worked unless connected to the powered hub. Good luck to you.
