Response Point sending incoming calls to particular extension
« on: August 13, 2008, 12:19:40 PM »

We have a huge need with our Response Point / D-Link phone system. On a side note, we have the updated service pack.

Ok, we handle calls for another company and need their calls to ring to extension 102, bypassing the receptionist and greeting. I know we can assign the incoming caller ID number to ring directly to an extension, but we need it to direct calls incoming to a particular phone number we have to ring to this extension 102, no matter what the phone number of the person calling is. How would I go about doing this?

Hopefully I was able to ask that with little confusion.

Thanks!!

I was actually trying to figure out how to do that as well, as I have one phone number I give out to my vendors, and would like any call to that number to ring at extension 225.

Line 1-3 to go to auto attendand and line 4 to ring at extension 225.

I couldn't find a way to make it work, but sure hope to find the answers at the forums.

DID callls are only possible if you are using VoIP. That is the only service that has the capability to configure a certain number to ring on agiven extension.

Our firm is also in need of this exact sort of function.

The posted response from "Mlachake"  was not very clear. It sounds like it is describing what the original post said was possible but not what was desired. Is a solution possible to the original post's question - can the system be configured to allow all calls placed to a certain VoIP number to be routed to a particular extension?

This would be VERY helpful to us. Thanks in advance for any help.

It is possible to set VoIP calls from certain phone numbers to a specific extension. That feature is only available when using a VoIP service.
