Shareport while router is used as range extender
« on: August 24, 2011, 02:53:01 PM »

Model: DIR-855
HW Revision: A2
Firmware version: 1.23EU
SharePort version 3.1.0

I was successfully able to use Shareport on all my computers (WXPPro32, W7Pro32, W7Prox64) while DIR-855 was main Wireless router in most standard Network setup where ISP ethernet was connected to WAN port of DIR-855 and all devices(NAS, IP Phone, Blackberry, Laptops) connected to DIR-855 either via WiFi or via LAN ports. Printer/Multifunction device shared on Shareport is OKI B2500MFP.

Since I moved house and changed my network topology I'm unable to get shareport to work. My current setup is following

ADSL line connected to BT Home HUB revision 2 in basement

BT Home hub is broadcasting WiFi on "tongfarm" SSID to provide coverage of basement of the house

NAS server is connected to BT Home HUB LAN port1

DIR-855 LAN4 port is connected to BT Home HUB LAN port2 via CAT6 ethernet cable, DHCP is disabled on DIR as well as UPnP as described in DIR-855 manual

DIR-855 is set to broadcast WiFi in First floor of the house using same SSID as BT Home HUB

I'll appreciate any advice you can give. I know I can get external print server and connect it to last remaining available DIR-855 LAN port but I really would prefer to have one spare and use DIR-855 for this purpose because it was advertised it can do the job.
