Running Transmission on my DNS-321 running into issues.
« on: January 19, 2011, 01:38:50 PM »

Hello All and thanks for reading my post.  I have just installed Transmission 2.13 into my DNS-321.  Took a while to get it up and running.  My Unix is very rusty.  It had been working fine for about a week, and then suddenly I noticed it was down.  For some reason I think I had to many iterations of it running.  When I do a "PS"  It shows 4 processes called "transmission-daemon"  and another 4 called "transmission-daemon -gsr 2.0".  I noticed that I had a file in my torrent download directory that was irremovable.  I figure there is a process still connected to the file.  When I was setting up transmission.  I kept running it, each time adding on of the various switches.
Code: [Select]
transmission-daemon -P 3128
transmission-daemon -u hex
etc,..

I'm guessing this is the wrong thing to do.  so I did a reboot of the unit.  I then restarted transmission using the shell command - sh transmission.sh start.  I ended up with bascially the samething again.

     Where am I going wrong?

Thanks,

Mab
