X-Box 360 media center (FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
« on: January 24, 2011, 09:12:20 AM »

Hi, I have a DIR-655 and I just got a DAP-1522 so my kids can have access to wmc with the xbox. Everything was working fine until avg needed to restart my pc because of an update and now the xbox won't connect to wmc.
I have 2 pc's that are wired to the 655, both have win7 ultimate and use avg-free anti virus. The 655 is H.W. version B1 - F.W. 2.00na, 1522 is H.W. version A1 - F.W. 1.21.
The xbox CAN connect to xbox live but not to either pc.
The network map is                               Router
                                                Hub                    Switch
                                         Switch                                Bridge
                                 PC - PC                                             X-BOX - DAP-1522
I have allowed the MC extender in the firewall and am using the 1522 in bridge mode. Do I have to set up any ports or something in order to connect? I'm pretty new to networking so this is rather frustrating. Also I have been googling like crazy and it only seems to confuse me even more.
Thanks

I finally got it fixed!! All I had to do was to leave the network (I switched all the pc's to pubic and then back to home and I was able to connect, doing that also got rid of the hubs and switches as seen above and now it just shows      the router , bridge, pc's and xbox.
