temperature of the 323 - what should it be?
« on: October 05, 2008, 10:43:05 PM »

hi all,

my 323 (which has been flawless till now) is suddenly dropping the web interface. i have even tried to install app's via daemon tools which the ISO's are on the NAS and installations fail. i am thinking the NAS just stops reponding for short portions of time then kicks in again. even having issues with streaming videos as well, out of nowhere, the movies just stop randomly.

i am thinking its temperature related as i think (as its not in front of me) that the NAS is at 45c. or it may not be temperature related. but for now, i have no clue

what should its temperature be (oh, i am using that vista gadget tool that another poster had put up to determine the temp)

please advise
cheers

Did the drops start before or after the gadget usage? Also are you running any third party(funplug) changes on your device for fan control or is this a stock box?

i have been using fun_plug for a LONG time as well as TwonkyVision (both of these 3rd party mods have been in use for over a year w/out issues)

as for the drops prior to the gadget. the drops were happening prior to gadget use. i am thinking that i have been recieving these drops for about a month now with no change to the box (as i said, those mods have been in use for over a year.. eg, 1 week after purchase of the unit and has worked flawlessly since)

anything i can troubleshoot?

Yeah I think that would be the first step for troubleshooting this issue then go from there.
