how has everything been going for all of you using xp and the DSM750
I have really liked the update on the firmware, much easier to use.

the first DSM750 I purchased had a bad remote, someone else had that problem too.  I just returned mine to Walmart.  the nice Indian "tech" guy named Bill (yeah right) told me flat out to return it.

Here are my major issues:
1.  AUdio on some of my stuff that worked on my dsm 320 are working on the 750.  some have no volume at all and some have this skipping volume that falls way behind and others have just plain delayed audio.
anything I can do about this.

2.  h.264  i have a few, but it says it cannot play the format

3. advice as to which format I should convert non compatable movies to.  and a reccomended program to do so.  I have used several in the past.

4.  should I be tampering with the setting on the codecs?  will that help any of my issues.

I am using a brand new Trendnet wirelessN router and my DSM is hooked up with HDMI.  had no problem setting up or connecting.  I have a media server (tversity) on each of my computers one is my files server and one is my main box.  both appear to work.  both computers have dual core chips and 1G ram on my file server and 3G ram on my main box.

thanks in advance

I have over 4T of movies and Dled TV on my server so I have not had a calling to do so yet.
I will try it out (if i can figure out how to do it) and report back.

I have added just about every codec pack known to man.
some of my problems have been fixed, but many of my videos still are out of sync or have no volume at all.
I got H.264 to work, but makes an evil buzzing noise instead of audio.
h.264 does not appear any more clear than xvid up to this point

any help would be nice
sorry still no report on live or recorded TV yet, have had no time.

Can you provide me with the file properties of your H.264 files you have a problem with and if you are creating these yourself what program is used?

i realized that I had x.264 not h.264.  I dled a whole bunch of codecs like Super and quicktime pro.  it seems to work now.
I will report back with any issues I am having.
H.264 and x.264 is so huge it is hard to get a lot of them even with huge HDs.  1T only holds 100-115 movies like that.  not sure if the quality is worth it?
