I may not have the solution to your problem as I'm a fellow customer myself.
But I gather from what you are saying that the right button did work for a period of about a month or two after you purchased the unit?
If this is the case, then there are a couple of possibilities I can think of.
On the circuit board under the buttons on the case are two little almost flat, touch switches. The buttons extend a thin plastic piece down to each of these buttons.
The possiblities that come to mind here are this:
- 1) The plastic connector piece broke under the button
- 2) The switch became stuck or damaged
The tabs that hold the cover in place for your router are located about 2 centimeters or a ½" from either side on the front. Then on the sides, there are tabs located opposite each other with the back edge of the tabs being even with the back edge of the silver square that is directly behind the display on the cover.
If you do open your router, be sure you have it completely disconnected from everything and that you take precautions against static electricity.
Just check to be sure that both plastic buttons look the same on the under side of the cover.
Then, carefully checking the switch on the circuit board, press it a few times to be sure it's not stuck. Use a good light to check the switch to be sure that it's not loose.
If the switch is loose, then the unit would be considered a factory defect, but in reality, you could fix this yourself if you're good with a soldering iron or if you know someone who is. Just remember, this type of soldering is delicate work.
After checking your unit to verify everything is Ok, close it up as there is nothing else I can do to provide help in this situation.
