DLINK-NAS E-Mail Alert
« on: November 10, 2008, 03:53:04 PM »

I have my 323 setup to email me daily with stats about free space, etc.  Everyday its 10-15 minutes later than the day before and what was once sending me notifications in the morning, its now late at night.

Is this normal?  Can I fix it so that the notification is sent out the same time daily?

BTW: The 323s internal clock is accurate.

Thanks

I will have to test this out. Has anyone else seen this issue? many people use this feature and I have yet to hear that it does this however I will verify this myself.

Yes, My 323 emails me later and later but it also depends on when the device is started so there is no time of day that the device should email.

The email settings should state every 24 hours @ {time}, and if the clock is fixed so that its not out an hour all the time you should get an email @ that {time} every day...

Just to add information here....
Yes I also get email notification drift as well, usually 6 or 7 minutes later each day ie regularly later.

Not a big drama, but nice if it were reliable,

This has been my experience - and because of it I have simply assumed that whatever changes in the timing of the email have been caused by the time of power on.

MY 323 is powered op 24/7/365.  It IS on a stable UPS.  The drift is daily.

OK i set it up at 4:31 PM and set it for every hour and now it is 11:41 am the next day and the last sent email was at 10:36 so I see a drift as well. I will report this to be fixed in the firmware. Thx guys...
