I used to have a DWA-142 and there is a known problem of the adapter not waking up after the computer goes to sleep, usually requiring that the adapter be unplugged and unplugged in.

Has anybody had this type of problem with the DWA-130? I am thinking of getting one.

That has to do with the power saving settings on your operating system, not the adapter itself.

You would think that but in the case of the DWA-142 it is not true. It is a known issue that it does not wake up after sleeping(or hibernating for that matter), even with all the appropriate OS settings. I have a home network with seven computers, both Vista and XP. I am well-versed in the settings required.

Where did you see that as a "known issue" ?

I've never heard that in over 2 years supporting that exact adapter.

Another is the two DWA-142's that I used to use. I have bought the DWA-130 and thankfully do not have that problem. Seems to be working well and waking up from going to sleep.
