Resume Bit Torrent tasks after installing another disk

I have one HDD hooked to DNS-323. There were two incomplete BT downloads. Last night I hooked up another HDD to DNS-323 as standard individual disk. The installation on second HDD went well. But then I found BT downloads on the first HDD stopped. Tried to see the status from easy search utility and was told can't connect to the service anymore ... They are ~15G BT download and nearly 80% completed. I really want to resume it instead restart ...
Any good suggestion as how to resume? I was thinking to pull out the second HDD ... and put it back after these BT downloads are completed. Not sure if this would work.
