Fans NEVER spin?
« on: March 11, 2009, 05:32:05 PM »

My fan on the back of the 321 doesnt seem to spin ever..im on FW 1.01..the temp inside is 113/45. Also, the blue lights on the front stay on all the time. even when nothing is using the device, is that normal? How do I get these fans to start up?

Thanks

That probably isn't hot enough to trigger the fans.

my fan runs all the time!  you can use a linux script to control the fan if you want.

try rebooting the box from the web GUI and listen for the fan to spin to high rpm while it loads.  about the 30-20 sec mark on the  count down.  it will settle down to normal rpm's when the loading is complete.
