File transfers case XP to reboot?

I am new to networking, I bought a DNS-323 and a DIR-655 Gigabyte router.  When I transfer large files from the NAS to the XP machine it will reboot the PC.  The XP PC is connected to the Gigabyte switch on the router.  It works fine wireless to my Vista Laptop.  No idea where to start looking for a solution. I am running 1.05 firmware on the 323.  An help would be appreciated, had no idea how little I knew about networking until I looked at the menu for the 323.
