« on: April 15, 2011, 01:10:29 PM »

There must be somethin i'm not doing right...I have a DNS-323, Configured a user, use default port range, no SSL,. I can't connect via cuteftp on the inside of my lan. My PC address is 10.1.X.X and My FTp server is 10.1.X.X. I can ping to server no problems. I tried to disable Firewall on Pulbic and Private Networks on PC. No Fix.

Here is the error...

ERROR:>      [4/15/2011 3:09:03 PM] The remote host actively refused the attempt to connect to it

Anyone know what's up?

Nevermind. Changed Port to 65520 instead of 21.

Thanks

I'm glad to hear you got it working - but I'd like to point out something to you - there is no danger in posting private "non-routable" ip address on the internet, and concealing the address just makes it harder for us to help.

By the way - the error message suggests the ftp server might not have been running rather than a firewall issue on the PC side

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.
