10 years and most hardcore gamers will move to PC as Sony pushes it PS Phone and Tables, and Xbox pushes its Windows 7 Phone. The future of gaming can be seen in games like Angry birds. Cheap to make, high profit margin, lots of DLC thats stored in cloud. I think they each have one more generation left in them, but past that I would be surprised to see another console, as we think of them anyway. I think THATS going to end the great war. Everyone will just move to PC. Heh

Thats possible however gamers will always enjoy gaming on a big screen and now that flat screens are cheap, I don't think that gamers will likely give up the big screen for something under 40". I love playing on a 73" DLP.

I have to agree with Furry, Harry.  Given the history of the Atari to now, I seriously doubt that consoles are going away.

If I'm wrong and you're right, I'll eat my COD discs!  LOL!   

Angry birds is fun but not like getting a headshot on an enemy as they're running across the map....and earning challenges along the way.
