DUB-H7 and Windows 7
« on: April 04, 2011, 06:37:32 PM »

I have an interesting problem and hope someone can help.  I'm running Win7/64bit and I have a D-Link DUB-H7 hub. Win7 sees the hub at a Generic USB Hub and items plugged into it work just fine. The problem is that my Webcam that is plugged into it shows up in Devices and Printers as the hub itself. If I eject the webcam from Devices and printers, the entire hub goes offline.

Also, other devices work but don't show up at all. I have a mouse plugged into it and the mouse works fine, except when you eject the webcam as mentioned above, but doesn't show up in Devices and Printers. The mouse showed up when it was connected directly to the computer.

Any thoughts on this?  Could my hub just beginning to come to the end of it's life, it has been about 5 years.

Thanks
Michael

Same kind of experence here with my DUB-H7.

I would say that DUB-7 is NOT plug-n-play with Windows 7 64 bit.

D-Link, do you have a Windows 7 64 bit driver for us ???

I would have to agree.  I'm thinking about just getting a different hub but have not found one that I really like yet.
