Can i get some help with the dgl 4500
« on: April 13, 2011, 02:10:14 PM »

I have a DGL 4500 firmware version 1.23 NA
I tried to hook up a netgear wn2000rpt wifi range extender
For the back bedrooms.
I set it up (very easy)
I scanned with the wii and my laptop...
It shows it could be connected to but when i tried it would only let me connect locally....
Upon scanning it showed my extender had full green bars?

Can somebody throw me some knowledge about this because CUSTOMER SUPPORT SUCKS ASS.

I had bought a repeater before and it did the same thing showed up as excellent connection but would only let me connect LOCALLY!!! Come to find out that thing wasn't faulty at all.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thank you for your time,

Do devices get connected and to the Internet if connected to the 4500? If so, then your problem is with the extender. Something isn't configured correctly.

I would also recommend changing the 4500 WiFi mode to Single mode G or Mixed mode G and N if you have any N supported devices.
