Windows 7
« on: June 05, 2011, 03:44:45 AM »

Hello everybody,

I'm newbie with NAS, I would ask for help because I cant't map folders of DNS-320 under Windows 7. With Windows XP I havent problems and it works. I read all the posts in the forum and I try to desactivate firewall, antivirus, checking Netbios, desactivate password on workgroup settings, establish an ip fixed, upgrade firmware to 2.0 version, etc.

Just drives me crazy and I dont know how to do, please help!!.

Another question I usually download files with direct download via megaupload account, it's possible to download this types of files directly in NAS unit or it's necessary to use a Pc with downloading software?.

Thanks in advance

Hi..

Mapping in Windows 7 isn't as easy as it should be..

you can help you by creating a little batch-file..

for example:

net use Z: \\your NAS IP or NAS-Name\Volume_1 XXXX /User:YYYY /persistent:no
net use N: \\your NAS IP or NAS-Name\Volume_1\musik XXXX /User:YYYY /persistent:no

were  XXXX is the password and YYYY is the User-Name

put this batch into Windows Autostart folder, and next time you will boot your mapped drives will appear..
