I stand corrected, firmware v2.00 does indeed support AFT drive including partition alignment.

You want me to explain a link to a different products sub forum? Some posts regarding AFT drives will need some alteration as it is no longer all sharecenter products in general but as I stated in this post they are supported on the two new devices.

I mean no offence! I just discovered the post and it immediately caused concern but as you say it is now fully supported as per the official supported hardware page.

I have gone for the 2x WD 2TB ears drives as you recommended.

Can anybody confirm if Samsung F4 TB dirve works fine without any issues? I understand that V2 firmware works find with Advance Format. Please confirm.

OK, WD EARS are supported, but am I required to enable TLER to avoid the drive being rejected if it goes into error recovery mode?

I am not sure if rejected is the correct word, but I hope you get the idea?
