Are firmware upgrades sequential or cumulative?
« on: January 17, 2009, 04:59:58 AM »

I have a DIR-625 Rev C with Firmware 3.04 out of the box and am interested in adding the Shareport functionality.  I see there are two later firmware upgrades available and have not downloaded and applied either of them yet.  Should I just download the most recent firmware upgrade (3.07) to update my unit or download both the 3.06 and 3.07 and apply sequentially?  In general should each F/W upgrade be applied sequentially or does the latest by itself get you up to date (cumulative update)?  Thanks.

Every firmware are "stand-alone."  They tend to contain all the previous updates in the older updates.  However, sometime there are special install instructions that you must follow before using the updates, besides the most important instruction:  Update the firmware via a "wired" connection on the router.
