   I have a DIR-615 rev C1 with the latest firmware (v3.13).  I am trying to reserve all the IP addresses in my home network, which includes a printer, 3 computers, a network bridge to a PS3, the PS3 itself, an iPhone, and an A/V receiver.  
   On my network setup page, I can see the MAC addresses under DHCP CLIENTS for the wired Win7 computer, a Win7 computer with a USB adapter, the PS3, the network bridge to the PS3, the iPhone.  
              But although I get good connections, I can’t see the MAC addresses for:
*  an WinXP laptop with built-in wireless
*  the HP printer, wired
*  the Onkyo A/V receiver with a USB adapter
   I’ve been getting by until now because I had some other way to identify the MAC addresses, but I don’t have that with my new Onkyo A/V receiver.  Since I can’t identify the MAC address, I can’t reserve the IP address.  Now I have extra incentive to get this fixed.
   I had this problem with firmware v3.12 also, which is why I upgraded; but it didn’t solve the problem.  What could be hiding my MAC addresses?

What are the beginning Mac addresses for these devices that are not appearing? 00?

Thanks for your response.  Here are the first 4 characers of the MAC addresses that do NOT appear:
00:1A.... a wired HP2605dn printer
00:90.... an 802.11b/g WinXP laptop
??:?? .... the Onkyo A/V receiver through a USB adapter.  -- The one for which I can't find a MAC address some other way.

The ones that do show up are:
00:1C.... the wired Win7 pc
00:24....  a win7 pc through a USB adapter
E0:91....  a network bridge to the PS3
00:1D....  the PS3
40:A6....  the iPhone

I hope there is a clue in there.

Ensure the cables are in good working condition and recommend using CAT 5e minimum or CAT6.
Try swapping cables with known working cables and devices and check.

Ensure the devices that are not being seen are set for auto obtain and IP address from the router.
You are getting mac addresses in the router so I think the router is working, if it's not showing macs for certain devices, i presume it something between the router and those devices. This USB adaptor a wired or wireless connection?

All connections are wireless except for one computer and the printer.  MAC address for that computer is visible, but not the one for the printer.  All connections (wired and wireless) are working.  The only problem is that I can't see all the MAC addresses.  It matters most for the A/V receiver because I have no other way to find the MAC address and thereby assign an IP address.

Can you test with out any Wifi Security enabled, just to test, curious that some are connecting and some are not.

Try WiFi mode Single G only with out any security.

Swap cables with know another know working cable on the printer. Keep to CAT5e or preferred CAT6.

If anything, might have to try a different router and see if you can get the ones that don't connect to exhibit the same problem on a different router.

   I tried it with no security and with G-only, but got the same result.  Again—all connections are working.  The only problem is that SOME of the MAC addresses don’t show up under “NUMBER OF DYNAMIC CLIENTS”.  That matters with my newest networked device because I have no other way to view the MAC address.  I have had this problem of invisible MAC addresses for about a year, but I didn’t worry about it until now because it was just an annoyance. 
   I didn’t swap cables because there are only 2 cables and they both carry good connections – one to the printer that prints fine and one to a computer that already shows its MAC address.
   If you have any more ideas, I would love to hear them.  Thanks!

Hmm.. well running out of ideas here. It doesn't help specially if you need to set up rules and such, if the router doesn't display them not sure if you can reserve them or use them correctly. Possible this router is not working as it should or the FW isn't working right I presume. Other than calling up Dlink, I'm out of ideas man. Sorry. If it's working for the devices then maybe it's ok until you find a better solution or a different router. This is odd for sure.

Actually, contacting DLink is a good idea.  I didn't take it seriously because my unit is out of warranty and I'm not rich, but (inspired by your suggestion) I discovered that they have email support and sent the question to them.  If I get an answer, I will post it here.

I got a good reply from Dlink.  For anyone interested, here is the way to see all the MAC addresses:
Step 1 Open a web browser and type the IP address of the router into the address bar (default is http://192.168.0.1). Press Enter.

Step 2 The default username is admin (all lower case) and the default password is blank (nothing). Click on OK.

Step 3 Click on the Status tab at the top and then click on Device info on the left hand side.

Step 4 Under LAN COMPUTERS, check whether the mac address of the device is listed.

Step 5 Click on the Status tab at the top and then click on Wireless on the left hand side. Check whether the mac address of the device is listed.

    In my reply to Dlink, I added the following:  "Although you solved my primary problem, I'm still curious as to why don't all the links show up under "Number of Dynamic DHCP Clients".  Is that just my system -- or is it true of all DIR-615s?".  Iwill also share that reply, once I get it.

SO the devices are being reporting under the Status section but not the DHCP clients section right?

Yes.
    In answer to why they aren't being reported under the DHCP clients section, Dlink replied, but they told me I would have to address it by telephone.  I'm not willing to spend the money to do that, but I have a solution that will work so I have no complaints.

Ok, understand the concerns. I think that if the router is working and the devices are connecting to the router and functional then you should be ok. It does make it hard for those devices that don't show up to add them as a reservation however not totally impossible. Maybe at some point that a different router would be better when that time comes.
