DUB-H7 -> Ntfs errors in Win7

I have verified that I get an Ntfs error plus several disk errors (57 & 11 respectively) under the following conditions:

WD 1TB external drive connected via DUB-H7 to HP laptop running Win7-32bit with sp1.
Laptop hibernates.
Errors generated on wake-up.

Errors do not occur if system is shutdown and restarted.
Errors do not occur if external drive is connected directly to laptop and system hibernates & wakes up.

Users (& buyers) beware.
