So i just got my dns-323 and finished setting it up behind router dir-655

I wish to setup a ftp server however, it wouldn't let me to connect it.

I forwarded port 21 on router and set the dns-323 as a static ip

upgraded dns-323 to the latest firmware and used passive ftp and typed in my own ip

I tried ftp://192.168.0.181:21 it works on my IE and successfully log-in

So i asked my sister to try it at her house. She said it allows her to connect but when she types in password and username, it does not allow her connect into the server



i asked her to try ftp://myip:21

Did i miss anything in the configuration of dns-323?

Can i please get some help. I did search on the forum but it doesn't help much.

I solved the problem.

I used port forwarding on> advanced > virtual server

instead of

normal port forwarding.
