Cannot connect to internet through my router.

I cannot connect to the internet through my router. I connect ak when the modem is connected directly to the computer. The modem info is as follows:DSL UP

What happens when you connect the modem to the router?  Does the router give you an LAN IP address (eg:  192.168.xxx.xxxx?)  If yes,you need to access the router's configuration pages and set up the PPPoE settings.  The router will be the one who controls the connecting the modem onto the ISP's Internet service.

BTW:  Access the router's web pages by using the LAN Gateway IP address in a web browser (ex.: http://192.168.xxx.1)
