WBR-2310 Or Is IT?

i got fed up with my WBR 2310 and it's problems. now it's not just the connection problems but also the firmware problems as well. i can't set the time on it, i can't set the wireless options or anything. everytime i hit save they default back to what they were.

Now i have taken the cover off of my WBR-2310 rev b1 and come to find out Actually printed on the PCB is DI524F1 and under it in brackets (WBR-1310B1)

now i guess i'd like to know what router it actually is. a 2310? 1310? or a 524? so i can load proper firmware onto this router and have it working as it should.

if anyone knows could they please reply.

i've checked out many of those from around the internet.. and i can never find a straight answer... i know that someone opened a rev A1 of the WBR-2310's and there was the guts of a 624 in it. now i have opened mine and found on the PCB, 524 and under it in brackets (1310)... but i've never dound a definitive answer on what firmware has ectually worked for the rev b1 of these routers.

Try to access the page of your router (default: 192.168.0.1) you will find what router you are using on its GUI

You will find that is what the firmware has hard coded into it, not the hardware itself.

Load up a different firmware (as I have done) and the GUI says it is something else.

Don't trust the firmware displays... What matters is the code on the motherboard. Best is to find the firmware for whatever they have engraved/etched/printed on it and it should work with that... Whatever it is, will be far better than the 2310 firmware...

Printed on mine is the 524, and 1310. i've tried firmware for both, but it tells me that it's not compatible.
